What the calculation is based on
- Israel's Aviation Services Law: ILS 1,530 / 2,450 / 3,670 (2026) by distance, for a cancellation, a departure 8 hours or more late, or denied boarding.
- A departure delay under 8 hours gives assistance and a refund, but no cash compensation under Israeli law.
- EU Regulation 261: €250 / €400 / €600 when the flight left the EU, or arrived in the EU on an EU airline, and arrived 3 hours or more late.
- Montreal Convention: compensation for proven loss for baggage and delay, capped, with short complaint deadlines.
- Flights dated in the exempt periods of the wartime temporary law (7.10–30.11.2023, 12–18.4.2024, 3–8.8.2024, 1–5.10.2024) get no cash compensation.
